Congratulations, Dr. Sergej Schultenkämper: PhD with summa cum laude
Our lead engineer Sergej Schultenkämper has completed his PhD with the distinction summa cum laude. We congratulate him wholeheartedly.
wonk.ai warmly congratulates Dr. Sergej Schultenkämper on successfully completing his doctorate.
Dr. Schultenkämper passed his defence with the distinction summa cum laude, earning the academic degree Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.). That is the highest distinction a doctorate can receive, and a result we are enormously proud of as a team.
What the thesis is about
His doctorate, titled "Information disclosure on the web: developing a threat model for the digital twin", was written within the research project ADRIAN (Authority-Dependent Risk Identification and Analysis in online Networks) in close cooperation with the University of the Bundeswehr Munich.
The work was supervised by Prof. Dr. Frederik Bäumer (Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Michaela Geierhos (University of the Bundeswehr Munich).
The ADRIAN project
The ADRIAN project investigates the dangers of, and defences against, profiling in Web 2.0. The goal is to develop AI-supported methods that can detect potential threats to individuals and institutions based on heterogeneous online data. ADRIAN is part of the joint project MuQuaNet, funded by the Center for Digitalization and Technology Research of the German Armed Forces (dtec.bw).
Why this makes us happy
It is exactly this combination of deep research and real application that defines wonk.ai. Sergej builds the models that go into production in customer projects. That he completed such a demanding research topic in parallel shows in his work: an understanding of language models and risk that sits deep, not just on the surface.
Dear Sergej, congratulations from all of us. We are glad to have you on the team.
